My Favorite Books I Read In 2016
I've been busy at work with something special for you all, so this week's post is more of a review on what I have been reading in 2016!! Hope you will check some of these out. Also feel free to comment with what you have been reading as well!
In no specific order...
This book is an awesome book for anyone considering starting their own business or even someone who is already in a leadership position at their business. It is simple, easy to read, and filled with so much good truth on what it really takes to run a successful business and how the most successful business are run. This book will also challenge how you view success - do you view it as how much money you make, or how well your people are taken care of? Awesome book.
This book. This book is something every single human needs to read. In a world filled with people so desperately seeking to find their identities in their "calling", their jobs, their sexuality, and their popularity, this book shatters all of those false identities that we seek and gets down to the truest thing about each and every one of us. It is easy to read, and beautifully written.
I haven't quite finished this one just yet, but I can already tell you that it is worth your time. In this book John Piper brings to light and reminds us even more so of the truth we find in scripture. He talks about how they have held his attention all of these years and how the scriptures are not merely something we look at, like a painting, they are much more like a window that we look through to see the rest of the world. It's pretty amazing and it will definitely grow your faith.
And last, but oh my goodness so not the least - Wild & Free. I could read this book over and over and over again. It is both filled with convicting and admonishing truth just as much as it is beautifully written freedoms that we so often fail to recognize or celebrate in our new life in Christ. It will challenge you to step out of your legalistic, self-confining ways, and step into the free and wild adventure that Jesus has in store for us. Please, if you do one thing this year, read. this. book.
